You know that moment in church when the preacher lands on the exact scripture you’ve been studying or sitting with?
Even more striking — what if you recently preached along that same theme yourself?
Here’s a piece of wisdom worth holding onto: God doesn’t waste time or effort.
Hearing it again is confirmation — that you heard Him the first time, that you’re open to being led, that God is real and present and speaking. Yes, all of that.
But don’t stop at the hype of hearing.
Don’t be lulled into the quiet pride of feeling anointed — anointed because of the confirmation itself, because the scripture lined up, because the timing seems perfect, because God clearly has you on His radar. Those signs are real. But they are not the destination. They are the summons.
The moment calls for more than excitement.
It demands persuasion — a deep, settled conviction that nothing else matters now except obedience.
Not reflection. Not admiration. Not more planning. Obedience.
If you’re hearing it again, receive it for what it truly is: the grace of another opportunity.
Now, obey the instructions.
Radical Obedience is required here.
If you’re wondering what the message was that inspired these thoughts here’s a synopsis. Text: John 21:4-6. Essentially when you’re exhausted from striving in your own strength and coming up empty, obedience to Jesus’ simple, sometimes counterintuitive instruction is what turns failure into abundance —suddenly.
That’s my personal summary, but credit to the preacher @pastorkeion @TLHC, and PRAISE to the ONE who connects us all and inspires beyond the benediction.
Blessings to you!
