Sunday thoughts: During a difficult situation where there seemed to be no way out, Moses urged the Israelites to remain composed and recognize that God has a plan no matter how things look—a word you can count on today no matter what you’re facing. You, too, must remember not to panic, keep your composure and focus, and have confidence in the One who knows all things and has all power. His plans ALWAYS prevail. Today, may your faith arise. May you find clarity and strength as you embrace a posture of undisturbed peace and absolute confidence in his ability to save, heal, and deliver.

May the time you spend in prayer be filled with words of confidence and faith, knowing that no matter what you face, God has a plan. He will show himself strong, and whatever adversary you face, he will handle them. You must trust and obey. Understand that panic keeps you out of position to see the help and walk the path of salvation laid before you. Your task is to trust and obey. When feelings overwhelm you and doubts and fears seem impossible to ignore, follow the mandate of praying and asking for divine help instead of ruminating about the situation. Being composed means not being panicked, filled with doubt, or fearful. It doesn’t mean doing nothing. It speaks to the inner posture that positions you to obey the instructions with confidence and grace. It keeps you out of angst, catastrophizing, and incessant worry.

Beloved, know that God has a plan for your good. Today, may you find the courage to say yes to him and obey the instructions. Kick fear out of your experience. Choose to trust God. There you will find peace, confidence, and inspiration. When you are on the Lord’s side, you are never stuck, never without hope, and never alone. Consider the Israelites who walked through the Red Sea on dry ground. What is the “Red Sea” challenge you are facing? Determine today that you will stop the panic, remain composed, and follow the instructions that lead you to the most extraordinary path of salvation ever. May He who is able to give all god things grant you great grace and peace.

Stay motivated and on track with your plan for the week, knowing that whatever you face has a purpose.

I know things get busy, distractions come, and sometimes disappointments and what you think are setbacks seem hard to bear, but if you know your purpose, they can propel you forward if you refuse to surrender to the fear that surrounds the moment. Yes, the fear of the moment.  We know that fear is momentary if we employ the tools we have to conquer it. (I’ve discussed fear in other articles, so I’ll stay focused here)

Life situations can affect you, but you must stay on course.  I repeat, understand your purpose, know your season and what you need to accomplish, and stick to the plan.
You may have to slow down sometimes, but you should always move forward.

You might think, “Right, but how do you stay focused when difficult things happen or unforeseen situations occur?”
Let’s be clear: I don’t believe in ignoring challenges and adverse situations or adopting a mindset that leads to toxic positivity.
Instead, I encourage you to integrate your faith into your life, creating wholeness and helping you live well in all areas. This is what I call extraordinary living.
Beloved, I am an ambassador of balance and truth. You have the power to face adverse situations with truth and honesty.

You can choose your response, and in that choice, you hold the key to your own resilience and growth.  I am not suggesting that you ignore difficult situations or speak ridiculously over them as if they don’t occur.  But I can tell you that integrating your faith into your life creates wholeness and helps you live well in all areas. It’s not just about living; it’s about living abundantly.
I call it extraordinary living, a life filled with purpose, joy, and fulfillment.

Know that today has a purpose for you- the good, bad, fair, unfair, perfect, imperfect, planned, and unexpected.
You were created to master today, and everything you need to win is available.
You thrive when you can navigate the waters of life well.

That means getting to know the One who knows the plan for your life, understanding the plan, and allowing him to shape you for its perfect fulfillment. It means allowing him to guide you through the plan. You must trust him and keep trusting him throughout the process.

If you want to transform your life, or better yet, if you want your life to have a deeper meaning, demonstrate your trust in him by living according to the Word, honoring your purpose, and learning the secret to contentment.

Your life experience will expand, and so will your joy and satisfaction.

It’s no secret that people talk about you and your situation. Sometimes, you invite them to the conversation, and you welcome their input, and sometimes, they inject themselves. Sometimes, they even express their opinions without knowing you. It’s life. It happens. However it happens, don’t be distracted by this activity. It isn’t new, and no matter how hard you try, you won’t stop it. So then, it’s crucial to understand what’s really being assaulted. It’s your faith, not your feelings. Don’t miss that. Your feelings get involved, but your faith is under attack.

You must learn to master your feelings and stand firm in your faith. (If you want to live a life of peace, purpose, and power.) I’ve often explained to my squad that people only talk about you because you have some influence in their lives. Don’t be distracted by the noise. You must learn to manage your influence well. With that, let’s go a little deeper.

The noise comes to shift your focus from what God has spoken to other things around you. It’s a tactic; it doesn’t have to prevail. It won’t if you stay focused. If you lose focus, you will begin to fear.

Many people will focus on who said what, how they said it when they said it, and even meditate on why they said it. I’ve even seen people waste time and energy talking about what should have happened. If you’ve ever responded that way, decide today that you will change. Because beloved, that response will not get you to an extraordinary life, and I want you to live a remarkable life—the one God designed for you. So, decide today that you will learn to win in these situations. You must prevail.

Your challenge is to BELIEVE and, in the midst of noise, KEEP BELIEVING. Excess noise and extra conversations deplete your faith. Every situation in life has its truth before the Lord. Your goal is to know the truth and to live according to the revelation. You can not afford to be distracted by the noise. If you need help navigating situations or moving beyond barriers to achieve success, partnering with a coach might be a solution.

In some situations, what you believe or are trying to believe doesn’t align with what you see. People will remind you of the obvious. They will point it out and cause you to doubt God’s word. Yet, the outward appearance may not immediately align with God’s truth and cause you temporary discomfort, so you must learn to stand fast. Whenever I am engaged in a crisis management situation, I give my clients a timeline for the storm and encourage them to hold on. You, beloved, must do the same. Hold on because the Son is coming.

In other scenarios, those who love you may offer well-meaning words of comfort and alternative solutions. In fact, sometimes their words may tempt you to accept their opinion or options as truth, but your challenge is to BELIEVE and THEN KEEP BELIEVING.

Listen, beloved; the point is to learn to believe in the face of fear, adversity, and seemingly impossible circumstances and when other options are available. Remember that God has given us the power to make a choice, the comfort and confidence of his love, and the discipline to remain committed to the mission. Remember that believing is being persuaded that He is and that He can do everything He says.

Your challenge, beloved, is to maintain your belief no matter the situation or circumstances. I submit to you that you can trust the Word. In fact, Mark 5 reminds us that God always has a plan, and his plans are always under control. Situations may seem bleak, yet his plans always prevail. He will keep his promises. Additionally, verse 36 gives us insight into managing the noise around us with the simple instructions, “Don’t be afraid; only believe.”

Yeah, okay, so I know the challenge now becomes how do you know if you really know God’s plan well; I’ve got some insight on that, so you’ll have to stay tuned, but today, The point today is don’t be afraid of the situations you face or the things people will say. Recognize the tactic of the adversary to distract you so that you may be found outside of faith. Believe that if you’ve invited God into the situation and you’re following him, he

Peace is the experience of those in love with God’s Word. Loving the Word is not demonstrated by how much you can recite it but by how much it governs your actions. When you love the Word, which has preeminence in your life, you are not disturbed or distracted by situations or circumstances. There is peace. The Word and its direction govern actions that come from your emotions and feelings. In times of triumph, the Word and its truth give way to praise, gratitude, and adoration. In times of trial, the Word and its truth give way to thanksgiving, remembrance, and renewed trust. At all times and in all things, the Word provides direction, comfort, clarity, insight, strength, hope, and assurance. Sometimes, all of these are at once, and sometimes only one, but it is always enough to anchor and help you.

Beloved, a love for the Word, brings a perspective and understanding of things that cannot be shaken by rumor, innuendo, pettiness, envy, or flattery. It is your protection from deception and imbalance. But again, I remind you that strength and power do not come from simply reciting it. Truth be told, hearing is even a little more nuanced than we often teach, but consider this: if listening to sound bites alone would get you closer to God, then we’d be in a different situation in the world. Still, the truth remains as the Bible declares that you must hear with the heart and a commitment to obey. If you’ve ever wondered how you or anyone else can hear the word and not experience lasting change. Please know it is not a failure on God’s end, nor is he delaying his mighty power. The hearer must hear with a heart inclined to obey. The thrill that comes from what you hear will dissipate if you listen, dance, and shout but do not obey the word. It is the power that comes from the word that sustains. So then your heart must declare, I WILL OBEY THE WORD, for it is in the obedience that you experience the true power and liberty that comes from its truth.  The one who knows this truth walks in peace.  The noise of the world does not easily move him.  He is busy with his work and keeps his heart toward the Lord.  The storm does not move him, nor is he restless in times of peace. He has learned to be content and to find delight in the Lord, knowing that all things work together for His good. He trusts in God and God’s plan.

May the love of God reign in your heart and mind today as the wisdom of this Word moves you into a deeper relationship with him so that your life may reveal that He created you and He is faithful to do everything He started. May you know the experience of extraordinary peace.

One of the questions I frequently pose following a group prayer session with fellow intercessors is, “What did God say?”

This question often leads to a period of silence, during which people seem puzzled, as if expecting immediate responses during a divine conversation is odd.

It essentially raises the next question: how much time does God require to answer our prayers?

Your thoughts and beliefs about this question impact your prayer life.

They may erode your faith and, subsequently, your relationship with the Father.

It is not God’s responsiveness that falls short but rather our own actions and faith in our prayers.

So then, we must change.

What if we elevate our mindset and genuinely believe God is present and prepared to respond? By learning to surrender wholly, accept His will, maintain consistency in our approach, and engage Him with simple child-like faith through pure dialogue –

What if we believed He would indeed answer us?  

What if we believe that, as an ever-loving Father, He takes our insufficiencies, imperfections, and misaligned thoughts during the prayer conversation and transforms them?  What if, through prayer, we gained an awareness of His truth, also known as the truth and the power of His love and plan for our lives?  What if, through these daily conversations, our lives began to be transformed? What if we began to understand the plan for our lives better and live with great peace, clarity, joy, and fulfillment? What if, through daily conversations, he guided us toward the right thinking, right speaking, and right actions?  What if this was the experience of prayer?

Beloved, it is.

Prayer embodies a profound paradox. Though its essence is simple, its complexity has the power to alter circumstances and soften even the most hardened hearts. It represents not only a privilege and an honor but also a solemn duty that necessitates the presence of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, working in concert with you as His creation.

Today, I am sharing a clip from a morning prayer session and key takeaways discussed post-prayer that intercessors should consider.

Grab a cup of tea, coffee, or your other favorite beverage, listen to the prayer, and settle in and pray along with it. The words are still relevant today. God is alive, and the healing, freedom, and strength present then are available now. But also stay alert to the experience of prayer. Review the insights again after your prayer or listening to the prayer session.

Morning Prayer Insights 05.27.24

1. Humility is required in prayer and life. Humility is a cornerstone of both. It does not entail diminishing your power, gifts, skills, or talents; instead, it involves acknowledging that God is paramount and that everything stems from Him for His glory. Reflect upon this principle and let it inform your prayer practice and interactions with others.

2. Receiving God’s love means allowing it to work in and through you.  The evidence of God is that Embracing God’s love fosters compassion, mercy, and reconciliation.

3. God is able to turn any situation around.  He is a healer and has the power to regenerate and resurrect. God has the power to transform any situation. Our faith must be active and vibrant—anchored in Him and His capabilities rather than our circumstances. Remembering He is the great, “I AM,” we should remove limitations placed on God to allow Him to manifest fully in our lives as well as those around us. God is omnipotent; there is no situation beyond His control due to His regenerative power.

4. Take the limits off of God. Often, we view prayer merely as a practice of religious comfort when it encompasses so much more. Prayer fundamentally connects us with God—it teaches us to trust Him as a loving Father while laying down our concerns and absorbing His word, guidance, and will into our lives. Frequently, though, we tend toward over-spiritualization at the expense of genuine transformation (a topic worthy of further discussion).

5. Discern his voice and walk in truth. Today’s message emphasizes the importance of discerning God’s voice in every prayer encounter and understanding how to follow His guidance. Often, people claim they have heard God and are acting on His instructions, yet they find themselves without success, peace, or consistent joy. This raises the question: does this align with God’s methods? I believe it does not. Therefore, it’s imperative to elevate your thinking so there is no gap between your faith and experience.

Beloved, it may be time for a mindset shift—when it comes to prayer or spiritual growth, for that matter.

You have big goals, dreams, ideas, and a profound purpose that demands fulfillment; prayer is the anchor of your success and satisfaction. Effective prayer remains vital in achieving your goals while maintaining joy and peace.
